Winter events 2018
The Sports Bra Project is pleased to have been part of these exciting events in November and December.
WI Women in Soccer Symposium
The Sports Bra Project was named philanthropic partner of the first Wisconsin Women in Soccer Symposium on Dec. 8 in Milwaukee, Wisc. The event, which was jointly sponsored by Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association and the Wisconsin Womens Soccer Advisory Council, drew more than 230 attendees from all levels of play and multiple states. We are pleased to announce that more than 300 sports bras were donated at the event.
A raffle prize for a team subscription to Techne Futbol went to Molly Duffy, coaching director at Middleton United Soccer Club, and the Madison 56ers team. Our thanks to former USWNT player, two-time NCAA champion at UNC, and Techne Futbol founder Yael Averbuch for the generous donation of the prize.
NCAA Women Coaches Academy & WeCoach
Sports bras were collected by WeCoach at the November NCAA Women Coaches Academy and Academy 2.0. This was the third collection in conjunction with the academy. Our sincere thanks to the NCAA coaches who donated at the academy as well as those who have gotten their teams and universities involved. It is your work that keeps the project going!
How to get involved
We are always looking for groups who want to help remove barriers by donating new sports bras as well as organizations whose athletes would benefit by receiving them.
If you’re interested in giving back and providing leadership opportunities to your athletes, consider running a sports bra collection drive. The links below will get you started.
