With fall seasons fast approaching there are some exciting events and drives lined up!
Not in NYC? No problem! You can drop off a new sports bra when Reign FC plays host to the Portland Thorns on Sept. 29 in Tacoma, Washington.
More of a Midwest type? Contribute to the drive being hosted by Camp Shutouts' Kaitlyn Kelly. A few weeks in and they are fast approaching their goal of 200!
If volleyball is more your style, you can support the A5 Volleyball Team from Atlanta, which is currently collecting bras to take with them when they travel with Bring it Promotions to Botswana in November. The trip is one of many offered by BIP that incorporate a community service piece into team travel. Thanks Mizuno for helping them to start their drive with a donation of 80 new sports bras.
Follow TSBP on social media for news about drives and updates on the athletes and programs that are supported by an incredible global network committed to providing opportunities to play to girls and women!
Reign FC Sports Bra Drive
Join the Reign FC at their final home game of the 2019 season against NWSL rival, and current league leader, the Portland Thorns. Your donation of a new sports bra at the game will remove a barrier to participation and help an aspiring athlete reach for her dreams!
Stop by our booth before the game to drop off a sports bra and learn more about how you can help others gain access to sports.
Game time is 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29. Click here to purchase tickets.
Football For Equality
On Saturday, September 24, The Sports Bra Project participated in Football For Equality. Inspired by their experience at Festival 19 in Lyon and the 2019 Women's World Cup, the youth leaders from South Bronx United and City In The Community organized Football for Equality. The one-day event took place before the NYCFC vs. Red Bulls game and brought girls and boys from the community together for a day of play and education on equality and access.
Global Goals World Cup
We are excited to team up with San Diego Soccer Women for the Global Goals World Cup Finals taking place in NYC on Sept. 25. Attending this amazing event in support of the United Nations 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. Bring a new sports bra and help others remove a barrier to sports participation. New sports bras can be given to any San Diego Soccer Women player before or during the event.
Are you ready to get involved?
The Sports Bra Project is a from-all-sports-to-all-sports endeavor and we want it to be accessible to all. Ten sports bras or 1,000, every bra provides an opportunity to play! Looking for a way for your team or organization to give back?
Teams: If each player on your team contributes one sports bra, you will help another team take the field, court, ice, track, or pool! Want to do more? Host a drive at an event or join forces with your club or school and host an organization-wide event!
Athletic Departments: Changing vendors or overstocked on a size? Clean out your new old stock!
Companies & Organizations: Hosting an event? Include a sports bra drive.
Life is crazy but want to help? Make a tax deductible donation to The Sports Bra Project! The Sports Bra Project is a US-based nonprofit with pending tax exempt status. Currently all donations are tax exempt though our fiscal sponsor Sol Soccer.
